Set up the kiosk & now-serving board
A take-a-number tablet for your lobby and the "now serving #A → Window 2" screen behind the counters.
Requires Location Admin to set up
The kiosk (take-a-number tablet)
- Open Manage windows; the Lobby kiosk link is in the Windowed mode card.
- Open that link on the lobby tablet and leave it there — it can only issue numbers (no staff access, nothing else to wander into), so it's safe on an unattended device.
- A visitor taps Get my number (name optional by default; a service picker appears if you have several) and gets a big ticket number, their position, a soft wait estimate, and a QR code they can scan to follow their place from their own phone.
- The screen returns to the start by itself after each person.
Lock the tablet to the browser (kiosk/guided-access mode) like you would any public device. If the kiosk link ever leaks, use Rotate kiosk link on Manage windows — the old link shows "code replaced" and you re-point the tablet with the new QR.
The now-serving board
Open the Now-serving board link (same page) on the screen your lobby watches. Each window shows as a card — its current number, "please come to window", back-soon/closed states — and the next few numbers waiting. A newly called number flashes to catch the eye. No names or contact details appear.
Good to know
- Kiosk numbers, QR check-ins, and desk walk-ins all join the same line.
- The customer page and boards update within a second of each Call next.
