Enable windowed mode & add windows

Turn it on

Where you pick the style depends on your layout:

• Queue screen (one Live menu item): open Set up. At the top, How people are served here shows 🧾 Line and 🎫 Take-a-number. (The Use Take-a-number button in the Live tab bar's How you serve · pick one box brings you here too.)
• Classic menus: open Settings — the same How people are served here card is at the top. Or open Manage windows and select Turn on in the Windowed mode card.

Select Use Take-a-number and confirm. Your QR code and link stay the same, and open tickets are kept.

Add windows

1. Open Manage windows (named with your word, e.g. Manage booths). On the Queue screen, it's the Manage booths, kiosk & what they're called → link under Take-a-number on Set up; on the classic menus it's in the sidebar.
2. Under Add a window, enter a Label ("Window 1", "Counter B", "Rep 1") and, optionally, a short Code for reference numbers. The label is what the now-serving board and the customer's phone show ("Please come to Rep 1").
3. Select + Add window. Repeat for each staffed position. The page shows how many you've used of your plan's limit.

Each window can later be renamed (Save), switched off with Disable (it leaves the board and can't be taken; Enable brings it back), or deleted with Remove window — any live ticket at a removed window goes back to the queue automatically.

Choose what you call them

On Manage windows, What do you call them? offers Windows, Booths, Counters, Desks, Stations or Doors. Menus, My window, prompts such as Take a booth to start serving, the kiosk ticket and the visitor's check-in form use that word.

What changes when it's on

• Signing in opens My window (your word) for everyone, owners included. On the Queue screen, Live opens it too.
• The line view becomes the Queue — view only. Calling and serving happen on My window, which keeps the now-serving board in sync. A My window | Queue switch (classic) or tabs (Queue screen) move between them.
• Visitors see Take a number on the check-in form and a Get my number button.
• Manage windows also holds Serving options — see Call ahead & auto-call and Priority groups — and the Lobby kiosk link with a QR code for your lobby tablet (see Kiosk & now-serving board).
• The lobby screen becomes the now-serving board. Customers can still use your normal QR code — it joins the same line.

Switch back to Line

Select Use Line in How people are served here (on Set up, or Settings on the classic menus), or Turn off on Manage windows. Your Line stages come back as they were before you switched (a general set of stages if the location never had its own).
