How the daily check-in quota works
The quota counts real check-ins, per location, per local calendar day — suspected/flagged check-ins never count against it.
Have a busy day and go over? SiteCheckin keeps serving — up to double your quota — and emails the owner. You get up to 5 overflow days in any rolling 30 days; after that, new check-ins pause at your plan limit until the window clears or you upgrade. Customers who arrive at the limit see a polite "at capacity" page pointing them to the front desk (your team can always add walk-ins).
Set your own daily maximum (per location)
Want to take fewer check-ins than your plan allows — say, a maximum of 10 today? A location admin can set Settings → Check-in options → "Max check-ins per day". Leave it blank to use your plan's default; set a number to cap that location's daily volume. You can change it any time — for example a lower max on short-staffed days and a higher one when fully staffed.
A few things to know:
- It only lowers, never raises. A number above your plan's limit simply uses the plan limit — need more, use a quota boost or a higher plan.
- Overflow still works. Busy days past your max get the same temporary overflow grace described above before check-ins stop.
- The dashboard shows it filling up. When a max is set, the staff dashboard shows a "Check-ins today: N of max" counter, turning amber as you approach the limit.
Resource reservations are metered separately
Resource queues (rooms, equipment) have their own daily limit per location — see the table — kept completely separate from your main check-in quota. It's a hard cap with no self-serve boost; if you need a higher resource limit, contact us. Each resource also has a waitlist cap for how many people can wait for it at once.
Managing your plan
Subscribing, switching tiers, buying add-ons, and cancelling all happen on the Plan page and the secure billing portal. See Manage your subscription for the full walkthrough.
