Pick your kind of business from a card grid grouped by Line, Take-a-number and Rooms — and get a working setup with the right workflow, services, and screens.

Runs when you create a business; the same shapes are reachable later via Set up guides

Appears only when the guided setup wizard is available on the account; otherwise you name your business and optionally pick an Industry.

What it is

Right after you name your business and select Create my check-in page, SiteCheckin asks What kind of business is ? The cards are grouped by how you serve people:

  • 🧾 Line — Walk-in list, Restaurant waitlist, Patient / client flow, Drop-off & repair, Order pickup, School pickup line.
  • 🎫 Take-a-number — Service counters, Checkout counters, Conference / career fair booth, Boarding / group calling.
  • 🚪 Rooms & equipment — Rooms & resources.
  • Not sure yet? — Start simple — build your own (a plain queue you shape later).

Pick your card and select Continue. Some cards ask one quick question — how many windows or counters, how many people serve visitors at your booth at the same time, how many boarding groups, or how many rooms (plus minutes per reservation). Your location is then configured: the right workflow, a sensible service list, and windows, groups or rooms if your shape needs them.

If you started from Set this up on the How it works page (or Set this up for my business on a Solutions page or demo), the sign-up page shows Setting up: and the wizard pre-selects the matching card. You can still pick a different one.

Skipping and finishing

Every screen is skippable — Skip — I'll set this up later keeps the plain queue — and nothing the wizard does is locked in. The last page ( is live 🎉) says which style your location uses and links to your next steps: print your QR code, try a test check-in, and open your main screen — Go to My <window/counter/booth> → for take-a-number setups, otherwise Go to my dashboard →.

Changed your mind later?

You don't re-run the wizard. Switch between Line and Take-a-number, or add rooms, under How people are served here (on the Set up page, or at the top of Settings on classic menus).
