Add a walk-in customer

Check someone in at the desk so they join the same queue as online customers — Walk-in on the classic menus, + Add visitor on the Queue screen.

Available to Staff

Steps

  1. Open the form:
    • Classic menus: select Walk-in in the sidebar.
    • Queue screen: select + Add visitor on any Live tab (on phones it stays visible next to More ⋯).
  2. Fill in the customer's First name and Phone (both required, unless your location turned off Require phone number on check-in — then phone is optional). Last name, Email, Address, Service (shown only if your location has services) and Reason / note are optional. Tick the consent box only if the customer agreed to receive offers and updates.
  3. Select Add to queue.

Result: the visitor is added straight to your workflow's "arrived" stage (they're already here) and appears on the board immediately. On the classic menus you're taken to the new ticket's page; from a Queue screen tab you're brought back to that tab with "#N added to the line."

Walk-ins join the same line as online check-ins, numbered in the same daily sequence. If you enter an email, they get their ticket number and tracking link by email, like any online customer.

No duplicates: if that phone number (or, with no phone, that email) already has an active ticket, you're taken to the existing ticket instead of creating a second one.

Walk-ins count toward your daily check-in limit. If the location has reached its limit (when billing is on), the form says At capacity.

Assisted check-in by identifier

If your location uses Saved Check-in Information with Assisted mode on, the form also shows a Lookup Identifier field (whatever you named it — e.g. Pickup number). Enter the identifier to attach the saved detail to the ticket; name and phone are optional in this mode. If the identifier is new, type the detail once and it's remembered for next time.
